The shop and extras
The Shop page is where you keep what you sell and ring it up. Owners and leaders set up the list under What you sell — a name and one price each. Anybody who can take bookings can sell.
Selling. Choose who’s buying — the groups here today, arriving or just leaving are listed — what, and how many. The price fills itself in and can be changed for a one-off. Then either Put it on their bill or Paid now by cash, card or anything else. Paid now records the payment on their booking at the same moment, so the two can never disagree. Somebody without a booking — a day visitor, a walker — is a walk-in and always pays there and then.
On the booking. Whatever a group buys shows on their booking under Extras, on top of the agreed total rather than inside it: the agreed total stays what you agreed. What they owe is the agreed total plus extras, less credits and payments, and the Owed screen and its badge count extras too. Ask for the extras makes one payment request listing every item on their bill; issue it as an invoice and each item is itemised on it.
Mistakes. A sale can be removed until it has been paid through a booking or billed. After that, refund or credit it like any other money.
Takings. For anybody who can see money, the Shop shows each day’s takings at the till by method, and what went on bills. Walk-in sales belong to no booking, so they aren’t in the payments export — use the Shop’s takings for those. Stock counts aren’t here yet; this is a price list and a till.
