The schedule

One row per activity, one column per hour. Read across to see whether the tower is free at two.

It opens on the Weekend; switch to Day or Week at the top. A weekend is Friday to Sunday rather than Saturday and Sunday, because the group arriving on Friday evening is the one being planned around. Days with nothing on collapse to a single line, so a quiet week still fits on one screen, and every day in a view shares the same hours across the top — two o’clock on Saturday sits directly under two o’clock on Friday.

Each day’s hours scroll sideways in their own panel, with the activity names pinned on the left, so a short session still has room for the group’s name. Today opens at the hour before now, and any other day at its first session.

Two things are refused outright, the same way a double-booked field is: running one activity for two groups at once, and putting one instructor in two places at the same time.

Everything else is flagged, not blocked — too few instructors for the ratio or below the activity’s minimum, a group outside the age range, somebody without the right ticket — or holding a permit whose first aid has lapsed — somebody down as away, or an activity on a day the group isn’t even on site. You can save it anyway and it stays flagged until it’s sorted. A warning you can click past is worth nothing, and a refusal just means people keep the real schedule somewhere else.

A session attached to an enquiry doesn’t hold the time, in exactly the way an enquiry doesn’t hold a field.
