Your own page
Your page, under Portals, sets up a page all about your campsite at an address of its own, like campsitemanager.toolsforscouting.com/sites/your-campsite. It has your photos, a welcome in your own words, a card for each field and building and each activity, your site plan, your calendar, how to find you, and a button to ask about dates. It works alongside the calendar on your own website; it doesn’t replace it.
Photos make it. Add photos of the campsite itself on Your page, and photos of each field and building on Sites & buildings and of each activity on Activities. You can add several at once, from a phone or a computer; we make them smaller before they’re sent, so a slow signal in a field is fine. The first photo is the cover: drag them, or use the arrows, to change the order. Landscape photos on a dry, bright day work best. Only include young people who can be recognised if you have their parents’ permission.
Prices are your choice. Yours depend on who’s booking, so pick which group’s prices to show, or none. The page says whose prices they are, and anything you haven’t priced is left off, never shown as free.
Not every activity has to be on it. Untick “Show it on your page” on an activity you only run for yourselves.
Nobody sees it until you switch it on. Until then you, and your other owners and leaders, can preview it. When it’s on, search engines can find it unless you untick that, and there’s a QR code to download for your noticeboard.
The calendar and “Ask about dates” need your availability page switched on as well. Without it, the page shows your email address instead.
You can also show your page at an address of your own, like book.yourcampsite.org.uk. See Your page on your own domain.
