Getting started
Start on Sites & buildings: add every field, meadow, bunkhouse and barn that can be booked. Each one can have a name, a number, how many people it sleeps, its size, and the facilities on it. Then add your Customers — the groups, schools and families who book with you — and you can start taking bookings.
Settings lists everything you can configure, in one place, with a line on what each one does — VAT, deposits, your public enquiry page, the welcome email, and so on. Each entry links to the page it actually lives on, so this is a map rather than a second copy of the forms themselves.
Finding your way around. The menu down the side keeps Calendar, On site and Enquiries at the top, then groups everything else: Bookings, Programme, The site, People, Money and Messages. Below them, Portals goes straight to the settings for each page people outside reach from a link (the enquiry page, the bookers’ portal, courses, events, the mailing list sign-up, the jobs board, volunteer sign-up and the Gift Aid form), and Trustee board holds the board’s own pages if you have the switch for it. Those two start folded. Click a group’s name to fold away one you rarely use; its count still shows while it’s folded. For more room, Hide the menu folds the whole thing down to a strip of icons (hover over one for its name), and the button at the top of the strip brings it back. Both are remembered in your browser. On a phone the menu is a single Menu button at the top of the page.
